Growing Slow is Still Growing: Embracing Your Pace

There was a season when I felt like everyone else was sprinting ahead while I was just… standing still. I had just finished my bachelor’s degree, landed my first corporate job with an amazing company, traveled the world, married the love of my life, met incredible people, and moved to my dream state. Life should’ve felt full — but instead, I found myself asking, am I doing enough? Am I enough?

And that’s when it all clicked: I didn’t want to just live a good life — I wanted to build something. Something that felt like mine. That’s when I decided to start my business. And let’s be honest — starting a business is a whole journey in itself. A beautiful one, but also a slow, stretchy, soul-growing one.

What I’ve come to realize — and what I keep learning every day — is that slow growth isn’t failure. It’s foundation.

When you grow slowly, you’re not just chasing milestones — you’re creating meaning. You’re choosing intention over urgency. You’re letting your roots grow deep, so that when your season to bloom comes, you’re ready to hold it all.

For me, MoSmiles has been a slow bloom. There were moments I wanted to push, launch more, do all the things. But the truth is — every time I honored my pace, my community grew stronger. I connected more deeply. The message of positivity and purpose had room to breathe.

So if you’re someone who’s quietly building, healing, dreaming — I see you. I am you. And I want you to know: your timing is not off. Your path is not wrong. You don’t need to catch up. You just need to keep going.

That’s why I created products like the “Your Smile is Sunshine” crewnecks — because even when the growth is invisible, it’s still happening. Even when you’re tired, your roots are reaching down.

Take this with you today:

You’re allowed to take your time.

You’re still growing, even if no one sees it yet.

And slow growth builds strong roots.

If this post made you breathe a little deeper, share it with someone who needs it too.
